Shay Upadhyay joined Alford Group in 2022 as a Client Service Associate. Shay graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington with a BSPA in Nonprofit Management and Leadership and a certificate in Political and Civic Engagement. She has consulted for various nonprofit organizations, including The Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Pro-Choice Maryland and Pro-Choice Virginia.
Shay is passionate about reproductive rights/health issues and domestic violence prevention. In 2020, she presented her workshop “Youth Defined Prevention Strategies” at the National Resource Center for Domestic Violence annual Town Hall. As a Senior Fellow at Pro-Choice Maryland, she led the Access Team Initiative. In her role, she facilitated local groups of Marylanders to improve access to sexual and reproductive healthcare in their respective communities.
